CEO. Jules Chenoweth
Jules Chenoweth, Started his working career as a Royal Marine Commando after serving several years he was injured in the Arctic and was medically discharged. This forced a career change and he got a seasonal job building festivals for the Mean Fiddler (later Festival Republic). During the summer months he worked on the festival circuit building festivals such as Reading & Homelands, in the winter he had taken a job working for scientific organisations in expeditions to the jungles of South America, he did this for 6 years becoming expedition leader and discovering many archaeological sites and bringing the discoveries to the attention of the world. He returned to the UK as he had decided to settle down and start a company and try to earn some money. He built several companies from scratch to multimillion pound turnover business’s in Waste management and haulage industries, later moving in to concrete production & aggregate bagging and created the Maenkarne Group of business’s. In 2017 he sold the Maenkarne group which continues to successfully operate to this day and of which he is the Chairman. In the last 4 years Jules has become a rock band manager, built a retail park (Chenoweths Business Park Ltd), become a sommelier and opened wine shops (The Old Garage Ltd), built a music venue and run shows (The Yard), started a waste management business (Chenoweths Trading Co Ltd), specialised in holiday let waste (CTCwaste), an artist management company (UVW Ltd), an equestrian centre (Owrek Equestrian Ltd) a live music booking agency (Route One Booking Ltd), taken the role of commercial officer in a music distribution business (Route Note Ltd) and consulted on festival waste solutions. He sits on several corporate business boards and performs chairman roles in addition to many directorate roles across multiple business’s.
Managing Director. Guy Tomlinson
Long Time friend and colleague of Jules, Guy has had a very colourful career to date. Guy started his working life as a trawler man working out of Portscatho with his Father,. After several years of being a deckhand he eventually became skipper of his own boat and put to sea for many years. He hung up his oilers and pursued an education, attending Brighton University where he earned a first class degree in forestry management. All set to emigrate to New Zealand and pursue a career in forestry, Jules talked him into staying and working with him in the Maenkarne business, initially as a driver, and later Guy became the environmental officer to the entire group. Guy has many qualifications in the waste industry and is always attending courses and improving on his qualifications. He currently holds a valid WAMITAB permit and has extensive knowledge of processing and waste regulations. When Maenkarne was sold in 2017 Guy moved with Jules to the new business and took the Managing Director role of Chenoweths Trading Ltd which he continues with to this day. He now also leads and heads up the CTC Waste division and has had an active role in growing the business.
Group Financial Controller. Veronika Kiss
Veronika joined Chenoweths Trading in 2018 and quickly became an essential member of the team, she looks after the entire financial requirements of the companies within the group. She is qualified to the level of CIMA dip MA, AATQB, and is currently working towards level 6 in Business Management. She is a dynamic team member that gets involved in all aspects of the business as she constantly betters herself.
Waste logistics Manager. Dan Hughes
Dan has had a long glorious career so far, joining the crew in the Maenkarne days he worked first as a yard junior for several years. In 2017 he was given the choice to stay at Maenkarne or come across with Jules and the gang to the new company, needless too say he came willingly and has steadily improved himself in his work and attitude. In 2018 he became yard manager and also played a very key role in the holiday waste collections, where a lot of you will recognise him from. He has great passion for the job and in 2020 was given the opportunity to come in to the office and take up a more managerial role in the holiday let waste business. He now is a fundamental part of the waste team organising the collections of thousands of bags per season. Dan is your Man that Can!
Media Manager. Jack Sutton-Bassett
Jack is the new kid on the block, joined in 2021 he is a drummer in a band (King Creature) and works for a live music booking Agency (Route One Booking) as well as sharing his skills with CTC Waste. Jack deals with all things content as we try to build a presence in an ever changing world.
Credit Control. Yolande Hocking
Yolande has worked for the Chenoweth family for over 10 years! She is a solid team member and looks after new accounts and credit control. She has an excellent phone manner and will solve any problem. A person you can rely on is our Yolly!
Site Supervisor. Tyler Ireson
Tyler keeps the yard in check, with a steel grip and extensive knowledge of machinery he is on hand to ensure the smooth operations and safety of all the yard staff. From crushing and screening to recycling and loading there’s no job Tyler hasn’t done, Tyler has been with the company 4 glorious years and will probably never leave.

John has been with Jules for as long as anyone can remember, in fact John worked for Jules’s father back in the early 1800’s! Long service comes with big respect and John has both. There is no need to describe John’s duties or attitude as this picture says it all!
